Golden Globes To Honor Morgan Freeman With Cecil B. DeMille Award for Lifetime Achievement
On Wednesday, November 9th, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced that actor Morgan Freeman will receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement at the 69th annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, January 15.
Amy Adams and writer/director Pedro Almodovar revealed the news during a press conference, reports the HR.
Morgan Freeman, 74, made his film debut in 1964, since then he has graced the big screen with his God like voice and superb presence. Freeman has also given us memorable performances in dozens of critically and/or commercially successful films. His career stretches long and plentiful with films like; Driving Miss Daisy, Glory, Unforgiven, Gone Baby Gone, The Dark Knight, Invictus and his current theatrical release Dolphin Tale and the upcoming sequel The Dark Knight Rises due out in 2012.
