RUMOR OR REAL: Justin Bieber Gets Rejected By DJ Premier For BET Cyphers
During the BET Awards this year, DJ Premier hosted the BET Awards Cyphers, but the veteran DJ rejected teenage sensation, Justin Bieber.
DJ Premier, who hosted the Cyphers, which featured some of the most respected MC’s in the game, and Chris Brown was not interested in Bieber being a part of the sessions.
According to Primo’s blog, Justin Bieber asked if he could take part, but he wanted Ludacris to write his rhymes.
DJ Premier who has no beef with Justin Bieber was adamantly against ghost-writing in the Cypher, so he rejected Bieber’s request.
Personally, I agree with DJ Premier, “if you can’t write a rhyme for yourself then the Cypher is NOT a place for you.”
The Cyphers are meant to showcase each rapper’s skills and having someone else write your rhymes goes against the spirit of the showcase.
Thank you, DJ Premier for schooling Justin Bieber, his name is a VIP ticket into everything.
