Kanye West Slams The Media: Amber Rose And More At Essence Festival
Once again, Kanye West decided to air his feelings on stage at the 2011 Essence Music Festival, held July 2nd at the Louisiana Super-dome in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Did the crowd really need to hear him bitch about his past?
Kanye, it seems the past is haunting you, man, let it go. This mini rant is just like the one he had at Coachella in April when he shared his thoughts on Amber Rose. – Get the deets on the flip…
West did it again in Louisiana, complaining about the media and the 2009 MTV VMAs, finishing with a stab at Amber Rose, explaining why she was untrustworthy.
Wow, did Kanye West really just get that memo? Why did everyone else see her motives so clearly while he was so blind?
Kanye West told the crowd at the Coachella Music Festival:
“It feels good to be home.”
“When I say home, I’m talking about with my people. I been around the world… got into a little controversy here and there. Even though the media tries to lie to you every day I just wanna say I thank ya’ll for standing by me and supporting me even when they said my career was over.”
He added, regarding his infamous 2009 MTV Video Music Awards incident:
“I had a little bit to drink that night.”
Then, Kanye West went in for the kill, having his DJ spin hits, including Bell Biv Devoe’s “Poison,” during which he threw a subtle jab at his ex, Amber Rose:
“I don’t do interviews anymore because the press be trying to kill me, I let the music speak for itself.”
“Never trust a big butt and a smile, why ain’t I listen to the song?!”
