Rhymefest Released From Hospital, Sean Kingston Up And Walking
Music took two hits in the past week, first with Sean Kingston getting into a jet ski accident. Then this past weekend Rhymefest was hospitalized, after unexpectedly being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.
Rhymefest was rushed to the hospital over the weekend, after becoming severely ill. He was admitted to a Chicago hospital where doctors diagnosed him as a diabetic.
Rhymefest, who announced he’d keep his fans updated as soon as he was released, tweeted today [June 6th].
Rhymefest said on Twitter:
“I’m back y’all, thanks 4the prayers and well wishers.”
“I got released from the hospital over the weekend. Diabetes is manageable so I’m good.”
Rhymefest got a wake up call, enlightening him about his eating habits – now he is more educated about his diet, nutrition and eating.
Rhymefest adds:
“Got a new diet, work out plan and lease on life. Gotta get off this insulin.”
Fest immediately hit the gym for a new workout routine and said he had no idea how much stress his body had been put through over the past year as he ran for Alderman of Southside Chicago’s 20th Ward.
He last tweet said:
“Now that my sugar is down I feel much better I was operating on overdrive for years and had no idea.”
“Now I understand a little of what Phife Dog is going thru…Off to the gym now peace.”

In other news, Sean Kingston is already up and walking. The Beluga Heights/Epic/E1 Entertainment star is making progress towards a speedy recovery. It was revealed that his recovery is expected to take up to six weeks.
This is great news, considering Sean Kingston was in a near fatal accident. He luckily turned the handle bars, which broke off as he smashed into the side of a Miami crossing bridge, throwing the himself and his passenger off the jet ski. Kingston was admitted to the trauma ward at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
As TMZ reported, at present, alcohol is not believed to have been involved in the crash.
