Rhymefest Hospitalized
Chicago rapper and outspoken political voice Rhymefest has been hospitalized and is now at risk of going into a diabetic coma, after he was unexpectedly diagnosed with diabetes.
Rhymefest, born Che Smith, was rushed to a Chicago ER where doctors diagnosed him with Type 2 diabetes.
Fest is currently in the hospital and receiving treatment. He will remain in the hospital until he is healthy enough to be released.
A representative for Rhymefest issued a statement through his Twitter account:
According to his rep, Rhymefest will continue to release updates via his Twitter account, keeping his fans posted on his progress.
Recently, the rapper spoke out against Lil B and the “I’m Gay” controversy on Twitter, firing warning shots at the rapper to leave him alone.
In addition, Rhymefest ran for office this year, but ended up losing his bid to become Chicago’s 20th ward Alderman. It was his first major run for office as a politician, reports AHH.
Everything happens for a reason. We wish Rhymefest the best and hope he takes care of himself.
