Nate Dogg Dead At The Age Of 41 But His Music Will Live On
We are truly saddened by the news tonight that rapper Nate Dogg, born Nathaniel D. Hale has passed away today.
Over the past several years Nate Dogg has suffered from two strokes, one back in 2007 which paralyzed him on his left side and another in 2008.
The cause of Hale’s death is not known.
The Long Beach singer/rapper, best know for his hooks on many hits from the Death Row Records catalog. Hale leaves behind a library of music from collaborations with artists such as Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Tupac, The Outlaws, Dogg Pound, WC, Ludacris, Kurupt, Xzibit, Ice Cube, Dr Dre, Warren G, Ghostface Killah, Daz Dillinger and many more. Nate touched so many in hip hop music, more than you realize. He was the perfect touch to many huge songs that you probably still bang in your cars like; Girls All Pause, 21 Questions, Area Codes, Regulate, I Got Love, Lay Low, All About U and many more.
Nate Dogg is and will always be a part of hip hop history, no matter how you look at it. It’s just sad to see a pioneer and legend in the West Coast “Gangsta Rap” movement of the 90′s gone so young.
Nate was born on August 19, 1969 and would have been celebrating his 42nd year of life. I can say this about Nate Dogg; he leaves us with music that will never be forgotten. His spirit in hip hop and the West Coast rap movement will live on amongst hip hop fans around the world.
Although many of you may not know who Nate Dogg is, you do know the music. Let us take you on a ride, flip inside and experience one of rap music’s true hookmasters. He made those summer hits, those blunt rolling songs, those hangin with your boys cuts, and those girls night out bangers that made us all bounce our heads long into the night. For that, Nate, I will never forget you man. Much love to the family and friends of Nate Dogg. I am heartbroken at the news and a little shocked…
I feel like a little bit of West Coast Cali music was lost tonight. We will miss you, always. Flip and watch as we take a journey with Nate Dogg inside…
