Ricky Gervais Asked Back For Round Three Of The Golden Globes Roast!!!
Yes, Ricky Gervais has been asked back to the Golden Globes to host for a third time by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, but Ricky isn’t sure if he should go another round.
Doesn’t it seem like Ricky has been recently doing over the top, outlandish, and raw comedy in hopes to be vetoed off the hosting list?
I hope the celebrities don’t get their ego hurt too much during round three, nah we’re joking – go in on them all, Ricky!
The harsher he gets, the better the ratings. I, personally, loved it this year and have now become a Ricky fan. I really didn’t like him before. But after the Globes, I have a new respect for the man who was able to chop everyone down, making them laugh at themselves. Trust me, many of those celebrities needed an ego slap. Gervais revealed his thoughts on his website today as to whether he will comeback to the Globes or not.
After a week’s worth of coverage about his inflammatory jokes, great ratings convinced the HPFA to offer Gervais another go at hosting the Golden Globes.
Gervais wrote on his website:
“Organisers asked me to consider a third year. I don’t think I should.”
“I don’t know what I could do better. I certainly couldn’t get more press for them, that’s for sure. You know me. Two seasons is enough.”
Well we would love Gervais back next year and if the HPFA continues to ask for Gervais’s abrasive brand of humor, then he should definitely be willing to dish it out!
