Did r&b artist Amerie and her manager, former A&R for Columbia Records, Lenny Nicholson, tie the knot?
Word is, instead of attending the BET Awards, Amerie and her man had other, more important things to attend to. Apparently, the celebrity couple got hitched this past weekend on the island of Anguilla. And inside sources are saying the newlyweds are presently honeymooning in a private resort bungalow on the island.
Amerie, who has been engaged to Lenny for over a year, happily revealed the news. The couple first got engaged in March 2010. I like the fact that they took their time.
Amerie told Essence a day before the wedding:
I just wanted to share the “good news of my wedding tomorrow. I am elated. I have been in love for the past 7 and a half years and it is my joy to share the good news with you. My future husband Lenny Nicholson is a wonderful man whom I love. Thank you so much for your love and support.”
Amerie continued:
“This is such an exciting time for me. This is my first marriage and I am over the moon.”
“I look forward to a loving and enduring marriage. This day couldn’t come any sooner for me. I am beyond thrilled. I will remember this day forever.”
