Mark Wahlberg Infuriates 9/11 Victims With Wrongful Comment!

Wednesday, January 18, 2012 · No Comments

We have to start with how much we love Mark Wahlberg, but sometimes celebrities should just be quite about sensitive topics when speaking to the media.

In a newly published interview, Mark Wahlberg had a delusional statement about how he would have handled the 9/11 hijackers if he were on the plane.

Yeah, NOT a good thing to comment on, because Wahlberg has caused himself a serious backlash with the families of the victims. Mark stated that if he was on board the plane he would have subdued the 9/11 hijackers and landed the plane safely if he had stuck with a plan to take one of the doomed flights.

Seriously, Mark, seriously? – Get the deets on the flip…

In the interview Mark Wahlberg revealed that he was supposed to be on a flight from Boston to Los Angeles that crashed into the World Trade Center on 9/11. however, his plans changed and he ended up at the Toronto for a film festival instead.

Obviously, it just wasn’t his time.

Here is what Mark Wahlberg told Men’s Journal:

“If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn’t have went down like it did.”

“There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, ‘OK, we’re going to land somewhere safely, don’t worry.’”

“We certainly would have tried to do something to fight. I’ve had probably over 50 dreams about it.

It’s the first time the 40-year-old action star has expressed his anguish over the fateful series of events. Since the article, Wahlberg’s comments drew a stern rebuke from the widow of a man who fought the 9/11 terrorists on Flight 93.

A Furious Deena Burnett-Bailey told TMZ.

“Does Mark Wahlberg have a pilot’s license? Then I think hindsight is 20/20 and it’s insignificant to say what you would have done if you weren’t there.”

She states that Mark Wahlberg was “grandstanding,” calling his remarks “silly and disrespectful.”

Did you know that Burnett-Bailey said her husband, Thomas Burnett, told her on the phone that two other men planned to storm the cockpit, but it was too late.
