David Arquette Gets 86′d From Prince Gig
David Arquette is the latest celebrity to be thrown out of a Prince concert.
Apparently, David Arquette was at the recent Prince concert at LA’s Great Western Forum, but got his ass kicked out for trying to snap a photo of the musician with his phone.
Prince doesn’t like that, David. You should know better, man.
David explained that he still doesn’t understand why he was ejected from the gig, considering Prince personally encouraged fans to record sections of the show.
Arquette said this on Twitter:
“Prince was like, ‘Alright, I’m about to play my hits, so get out your phones.’ I didn’t take any more pictures but the kid next to me was taking pictures and I still had my phone in my hand.”
“Security came to take this kid away and they said, ‘You gotta get rid of all those pictures on your phone.’ I said, ‘Prince just said we could take the pictures.’ And so I got kicked out of the Prince show [too].”
A confused Arquette later took to his Twitter page, posting several images taken of Prince during the concert.
In other news, Prince is scheduled to headline the Hop Farm Festival, which is held at Paddock Wood, Kent UK between July 1 and July 3.
Festival organiser Vince Power said:
“I am really excited about having Prince at the Hop Farm, we have worked hard to get the third day up and running and we hope that fans will appreciate the integrity of the bill and see it’s one of the most musically exciting this year that stands head and shoulders above a lot of other festivals.”
Prince will join other festival headliners like Morrissey and The Eagles.
Arquette’s latest directorial effort, Glutton, is currently scheduled to be released later this year.
David Arquette joins Whitney Houston, who was also kicked out of a Prince concert last month.
