Days after he was involved in a serious car wreck, it appears that Morgan Freeman and his wife are divorcing:
Freeman and his wife of 24-years, costomer Myrna Colley-Lee, “are involved in a divorce action,” the actor’s Mississippi-based attorney and business partner Bill Luckett told Access Hollywood. “And for legal and practical purposes, [Freeman and Colley-Lee] have been separated since December of 2007.”
Freeman was involved in an accident over the weekend, which saw the car he was driving flip. The actor and his female passenger, identified as Demaris Meyer, were driving on Mississippi Highway 32 in a rural area of Tallahatchie County at 11:30 PM on Sunday evening, when Freeman’s car went off the right side of the road and flipped over.
Freeman and Meyer, who has been described as the actor’s friend, were on the way to Freeman’s home when the accident occurred.

Morgan Freeman has reportedly been involved in a serious car accident in Mississippi:
The Dark Knight star was said to be travelling with an unnamed female passenger just north of the small town of Ruleville at around 11.30pm local time on Sunday (03Aug08) when the crash occurred. No other vehicles were involved.
According to online reports, Freeman was airlifted to a hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, where he is currently receiving treatment. The extent of his injuries are unknown, but state troopers tell website TMZ.com that the actor was talking at the scene of the accident before he was taken to hospital.The condition of Freeman’s passenger is also unknown.
Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the accident, although further details were unavailable.

Good news is Morgan is said to be in “good spirits” despite the fact that he’s suffering from several broken ribs and a bad knee injury.
Morgan reportedly lost control of his car, flipping it several times. “They had to use the Jaws of Life to extract him from the vehicle. He was lucid, conscious. He was talking, joking with some of the rescue workers at one point.”
Diana Ross’ daughter was also involved in an accident over the weekend:
The daughter of Motown legend Diana Ross has been hospitalised after being involved in a car crash.
Chudney Ross, the singer’s daughter with Robert Silberstein, was apparently pulling out of a parking lot in Malibu when her Land Rover collided with another vehicle.
According to TMZ Ross and a passenger were taken to a local hospital as a precautionary measure although no serious injuries were suffered.
Two other people in the other vehicle were also sought medical attention for neck and back injuries. Ross, 33, was later visited at the hospital by her sister Tracee ["Girlfriends' star].
