The movie is Inspired by 50 Cents latest album of the same title, BEFORE I SELF DESTRUCT is a gritty 90-minute film, written, directed and starring Curtis Jackson (aka 50 Cent). The film is a coming of age story about an inner city youth raised by a hardworking single mother.
Updated 1:01pm: 50 inks another new major deal with Action Jackson Films to produce and finance 3-5 major films a year.

According to Examiner.com, The first planned movie is titled The Gun which was written by Curtis Jackson himself. The movie will start 50 Cent and Val Kilmer (Batman, The Doors, Heat). Shooting will begin next month in Grand Rapids, Michigan with Jesse Terro directing. The topics stay familiar to 50 with The Gun revolving around friends who are involved in the underground world of gun dealing. The Gun is the first of three feature movies that 50 has already written. “When you write a song, you need to say it in three minutes or it is overkill, but I like creating stories and going in-depth with characters,” 50 and Cheetah Vision’s next project after The Gun will be a familiar drama, Jekyll and Hyde which will star Forest Whitaker.

Saturday, November 14th, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson donated $25,000.00 to the “You Can Go To College Committee”. The Queens based nonprofit organization was established in 1996 to ensure a smooth transition from high school to college for students.
The program includes college tours in state and an annual black historical college bus tour, PSAT and SAT preparation courses, parents financial aid workshops, paid and non paid internships, scholarships and help finding financial assistance programs. In the last 12 years, “The You Can Go To College Committee” has been responsible for over 3000 students enrolled in colleges and universities and more than 1000 graduates all across the country.
